Lessons from Hurricane Ida on Proactive, Compassionate & Scalable CAT Communication
Traditionally, catastrophic events have occurred from May through September. However, Property and Casualty insurance companies and their policyholders are now dealing with wildfires in the Southwest, unprecedented snowfall in Southern states, hurricanes along the coasts, earthquakes, torrential downpours, flooding, tornadoes, and more all over the country all year round. In the blink of an eye, P&C carriers must be prepared for an influx of CAT claims any day of the year with little notice.

A recent Hi Marley study found that with any P&C claim, the four drivers of five-star ratings are: (1) timeliness of service and resolution, (2) communication, (3) process effectiveness, and (4) adjuster attitude and approach. With CAT claims, it is especially important to be able to execute along these four factors at scale with limited resources.

In this webinar, Plymouth Rock Assurance’s Director of Analytics, Tony Ranauro, will share CAT communications lessons learned during Hurricane Ida along those four categories as well as how Plymouth Rock:

(A) Diverted the influx of policyholder call volume to text messaging, the most efficient communications channel, to report their losses;
(B) Opened the path for policyholders to engage with other digital tools during the claims process, such digital photo inspections, and electronic fund transfer (EFT) payments for faster claims resolutions;
(C) Provided policyholders access to limited resources, such as rental cars and tow trucks, with faster communication; and
(D) Answer any questions you may have!

We hope you’ll join Tony on Wednesday, May 24th 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT for his lessons learned and stay for a Q&A session at the end!
